Zoral vs Equate: Tongue Scraper Comparison
The main difference is the material and the format: Equate's tongue cleaner is a low-cost plastic scraper-and-brush combo, while Zoral is a single smooth 316L surgical-grade steel blade. Zoral makes the 316L surgical-grade stainless steel scraper in this comparison, so we are one of the two options here and we will say plainly where Equate is the better buy.
| Zoral | Equate | |
|---|---|---|
| Material | 316L surgical-grade stainless steel | Plastic |
| Shape | Single curved wide-blade scraper | Plastic handle with a dual head: scraper on one side, textured brush on the other |
| Edge | Smooth polished edge | Plastic scraper opposite a textured brush |
| Travel case | Included (single or pack of 2) | No travel case |
| Subscription required | No, buy once | No |
Where Equate wins
- Very low price for a two-count pack
- The textured brush side helps lift debris and the scraper side clears it, all in one tool
- Easy to pick up at Walmart
Where Zoral wins
Zoral is the 316L surgical-grade steel scraper in this comparison. Here is where it has the edge over Equate:
- Plastic and a textured brush wear out and are harder to keep hygienic long term than smooth steel
- The brush side traps residue and needs thorough rinsing after every use
- No travel case, and not built to last for years
The verdict
Equate is a fine budget pick if you want a cheap brush-and-scraper combo you can grab on your next Walmart run. Choose Zoral if you would rather have one smooth 316L steel scraper that rinses clean in seconds, lasts for years and comes with a travel case.
